Traditional craftsmen from Sakai, Osaka, have used their excellent skills to fire the product using a single piece of steel that does not change over time, and then use the advanced technique of water quenching to achieve an even higher level of hardness. The surface has a beautiful, shiny mirror-like haze finish, and it is a rare masterpiece in which the ripples represent the three cedars.
